Just 24 hours after vicious storms hit downtown Houston, the Houston Astros will still take the field at Minute Maid Park.

On Friday, the team announced that their game scheduled against the Milwaukee Brewers Friday night would go on as planned. First pitch is slated for 7:10 p.m.

The team also encouraged fans to travel with caution, as remnants of the glass and other debris that covered the downtown streets last night might still be present.

“Fans are encouraged to exercise caution as they travel downtown as cleanup efforts are in full effect,” the statement released by the team read.

At least four people died as a result of the storm, and hundreds of thousands of people across Harris County were left without power.

Friday’s game will be the first leg of a 3-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers that will extend throughout the weekend in Houston. Third-year pitcher Hunter Brown is scheduled to make his eighth start of the season tonight.
