HOUSTON – High water rescues continue in several areas of southeast Texas including in the Kingwood area.
The Houston Police Department says two women who were trapped by floodwaters were rescued by one of the agency’s dive teams at around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

The department didn’t disclose exactly where the rescue took place, but said it was in the Kingwood area.

Officers were assessing damage when they came upon the trapped women.

The department said officers were in the area assessing damage when they came upon the two trapped women.
They were rescued and one of the two was transported to a hospital by the Houston Fire Department.
As floodwaters continue to remain high, please remain vigilant and take all necessary steps to prevent yourselves from ending up in a dangerous situation.
Never drive around barricades on the roads and stay away from flooded areas if at all possible.
